Day 3  Cayman : 8am- 5pm

The Cayman Islands is an autonomous  British Overseas Territory located in the Western Caribbean about several miles south of Cuba, and northwest of the south of Miami, Florida. The island is low-lying, with the highest point just about 100 feet above sea level in Northern Side. The Cayman Islands caters to adventure loving nature enthusiasts with its spectacular hiking trails and caves.  With a few hundred residents, most of the island is free of people and full of glistening white sand beaches and clear coastal waters making your trip feel like a private island vacation. The Cayman Islands was first visited by European explorers in 1503, owing to a chance wind that blew Christopher Columbus’ ship off course. Culturally you would expect a European lifestyle on the Island given its close historical and political connections to the United Kingdom. However,  the culture and lifestyle of the Cayman Islands are strongly Americanized, from newspapers, radio to magazines and cuisines.

Other notable interesting places in this territory include:

Starfish point: Relaxed, secluded beach with shallow, clear water where colorful starfish can often be seen.

Rum point beach: Popular beach featuring snorkeling and wanted sports, plus bars, concessions, and facilities.

Cayman turtle center: Breeding center offering snorkeling with turtles, tropical breeding and a pool with a slide.

Stingray City, Grand Cayman: Stingray city is a series of shallow sandbars found in the northern sound of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands. It is a tourist attraction where southern string rays are found in abundance and visitors can pet and interact with the animals.

Day 5  Havana : 7am- 9pm

Havana is Cuba’s capital city. Spanish colonial architecture in its 16th-century Old Havana core includes the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, a fort and maritime museum. The National Capitol Building is an iconic 1920’s landmark. Also in Old Havana is the baroque Catedral de San Cristóbal and Plaza Vieja, whose buildings reflect the city’s vibrant architectural mix.

The people in Havana, like the rest of Cuba, is populated majorly by Spanish ancestry people, a large minority African ancestry and mulattoes, whose ancestors came as slaves in the earlier centuries. Havana is by far the most culturally advanced center among the Cuban islands. It offers a wide variety of features that range from museums to ballet and from art and musical festivals to exhibitions of technology. The restoration of Old Havana offered a number of new attractions, including a museum to house relics of the Castro revolution. Havana places special emphasis on cultural activities, many of which are free or involve only a minimal charge.

Visit the Museum of the City of Havana, that has lots of pieces of old pottery, furniture, jewelry, among other colonial workmanship as well as models of Havana in earlier centuries. This museum houses materials in the era of U.S. occupation and influence in Cuba. Havana in pre-Castro was known as the Caribbean nightlife city and culture.
